Many Thanks

As I sat in church this morning, I was overcome by a feeling of thankfulness. We are so blessed. It helps me to remember these blessings in times of feeling overwhelmed.

A message to our virtual audience:

If you stumbled across this blog-site or specifically sought a hurricane relief site; we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. I would like to shed some light on the eventual recipients of your financial aid. Rita and Pete Alvarado have been retired for over 15 years, they have recently celebrated a marriage lasting over 60 years. They are the proud parents of ten siblings who are spread from Jacksonville, Fla. to Los Angeles, Ca. Among those siblings and related family you have several Doctors, small business owners, decorated military veterans (including a nominee to the US Naval Academy and a Major assigned to Nato), accomplished Master Craftmen, aspiring published writers, and they generated all of this without a cent of public assistance. So rest assured that any donation we are blessed to recieve from you is going to a very deserving couple. Your thoughts and prayers are equally appreciatd. Thank you.

I would like everyone to know that having the opportunity to spend ten days down in Texas helping my family with major clean up and removal of their destroyed pride possesions. I am proud of the strength that they have demonstrated during this devastation left in the aftermath of Hurricane Ike, as they still to date remain in their home that they love so much with out finished walls 2x4 stud walls, stripped floors, no electricity, no furniture and now waiting for the county of Galveston to give them the OK for us to continue on the rebuild of their home. Also the family members which were not in the direct path of Hurricane Ike with their diligence in doing whatever possible from far away in helping, coordinating and assistaning with the recovery is truly amazing. To all our friends which have offered their assistance and now to see all of you with your thoughts prayers and contributions.
Muchas Gracias
